FAQs
What is a marriage celebrant and what do they do?
1
A marriage celebrant is a person legally authorised by the Australian Government to solemnise (perform) marriages. I handle all the legal paperwork — including your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) — and conduct your ceremony on the day. As a registered celebrant with the Attorney-General's Department, I can marry you anywhere in Australia.
How far in advance do I need to book?
2
By law, you must lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before your wedding date. That said, popular dates (especially spring and autumn weekends) book out quickly — I'd recommend reaching out 6–12 months ahead to secure your date.
Do you travel outside of Dalby?
3
Absolutely. I'm based in Dalby and regularly celebrate weddings across Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Miles, Goondiwindi, Oakey, Warwick, and the broader Darling Downs and South West Queensland. Travel within 150 km of Dalby is included in all packages. For weddings further afield, a small travel fee applies — just ask me for a quote.
What if we want something non-traditional?
4
Then you've come to the right celebrant! I love ceremonies that break the mould — whether that's a barefoot paddock wedding, including your dog as ring bearer, or a ceremony that's funny and irreverent rather than formal. Your day, your rules.
